Party/Bridesmaids Dress

This was supposed to start out as a "Cinderella" type dress, but the collar just did not want to work out for me.  Also, I was trying to hot glue a ribbon around the waist, but I did not like it, so I took it off.  But of course, a glob of hot glue remained that I could not get off so I had to figure out a way to cover it up.  I ended up gluing a bunch of ribbon roses to cover the glob of glue left behind.  This made the dress look more like a bridesmaids dress so let's just go with that...lol

MATERIALS

Size 10 thread in pink
Size 10 thread in white
8 white ribbon roses with bows
7 white ribbon roses
Size 6 (1.8 mm) steel hook
3 sew on snaps

GAUGE

As usual, I did not work gauge, but I always use the same size hook, so if you have made anything from this blog before and the hook you used worked, use that hook again.

FINISHING:

Sew 3 snaps to back opening of dress.

Sew 8 ribbon roses with bows to skirt (in between scallops).

Sew 7 ribbon roses to front of dress at waist as shown.  You might want to use a group of 3 or 5 ribbon roses because 7 is a bit much as I was covering up a boo boo.

You do some very lovely work even if some of them end up as accident cover-ups,lol. I am so glad I found your site as I have a 1967 Barbie that was gifted to me with a very skimpy party dress on with the plastic purse, shoes, and what look to be skiing sunglasses.

I will definitely be pinning these patterns for future crocheting. Thank you so much for sharing these.
