"Creamsicle Cutie" dress

Just a cute, sweet little dress that is super easy to crochet.
 
 



MATERIALS:

Size 10 thread in peach
Size 10 thread in white
1 white ribbon rose
2 sew on snaps
Size 6 (1.80 mm) steel hook


DIRECTIONS:

Row 1:  With peach thread ch 31, hdc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next 4 chs, sc in next 5 sts, hdc in next 5 sts, dc in last 15 sts, turn.  (30 sts)

Row 2:  Ch 2 (counts as first dc), dc in next 14 sts, hdc in next 5 sts, sc in next 5 sts, hdc in last 5 sts, turn.  (30 sts)

Row 3:  Ch 2 (counts as first hdc), hdc in next 4 sts, sc in next 5 sts, hdc in next 5 sts, dc in last 15 sts, turn.  (30 sts)

Rows 4-26:  Repeat rows 2 and 3. 

Edging:  At end of row 26, ch 1, work 40 sc evenly spaced across hdc edge of piece (top of dress), turn piece and sl st in first 15 sts of row 1, now holding the back seam together, sc the rest of the 15 sts together, now working around dc edge of piece (bottom of dress), ch 1, 2 sc in end of each dc row (52 sts), join to beg sc, fasten off.

Top of dress:

Row 1:  Join white with sl st in first st at top of dress, ch 2 (counts as first hdc), hdc in each st across, turn.  (40 sts)

Rows 2-5:  Ch 2 (counts as first hdc), hdc in each st across, turn.  (40 sts)  Fasten off at end of row 5.

Ruffle:

Join white with a sl st in any st at bottom of dress, ch 3 (counts as first tr), tr in same st as joining, 2 tr in each st around, join to top of beg ch 3.  Fasten off.  (52 sts)

Finishing:

Sew 2 snaps to back opening of dress.

Using a length of white thread, gather front of dress between breasts and fasten off.

Sew on a white ribbon row to front of dress.
