Starting off my new blog with a 6 piece mix-and-match wardrobe

Hello Everybody,  I have searched all over the internet looking for some free crochet patterns to make for the new type Barbie body and haven't been very successful.  There are some patterns here and there, and one really talented lady on ravelry has created a bunch of outfits but I don't think she is posting the patterns anywhere.  This blog is in response to this lack.  I love all things crochet and I love Barbie (even at 39 years of age), so I decided to come up with my own patterns to share.  My goal is to post a new outfit every week or so, so check back often.  To start, I am going to share the 6 piece mix-and-match separates I have already come up with.  I will be posting the pattern to one piece a day for the next 6 days and then something new weekly. What I love about this collection is that you can create 12 different ensembles with 6 pieces.  With the exception of this post, I will probably not be writing much as I am not a writer, but if you have questions about my patterns feel free to contact me and I will try to help if I can.  Enjoy!!

Thank you Darlene :-) I try to keep the wrappers in the middle of the spool so I can look later if I need to, but I lost this one. But I looked it up and I believe it is Aunt Lydia's Classic 10 in fudge brown.

With almost 5 nephews (one on the way in the next few days/weeks), I am dying to have someone to make these and other Barbie pattern for! So, I decided, I already have "someone" to make these for...me! On my shopping list for today, I have a Barbie doll...I may not "play" with her like I played with the ones I had as a kid, but she will have quite an impressive wardrobe! There are only so many doilies and potholders a gal can make...

Even if I didn't have any little girls in my family to make these for, I would still be making them for the little girl in me. I don't "play" with Barbie either, but I love making her clothes and it is instant gratification as I can make an outfit in one or two evenings...Let me know how they turn out and if you have any problems let me know and I will try to help if I can.

Sharine,
Thank you! I've never knitted a doll dress. It must be nice to know how to do both knit and crochet :-)

Hi Lizzie,

Looking forward to starting these. Appreciate your time to put them on. I have a couple of nieces that will love them. What's the difference in the size of old vs new Barbies. Is bjit they have a few more curves like a normal looking person? All I would like to ask is can you put your print in black or a much darker print for my eyes to see it better. Once again I am so very glad I found your post on Pinterest.
